According to 68th Indiana regimental history on CWSS, 68th Ind was not involved in battles near Kennesaw Mt.; Garrison duty at Chattanooga April to September, 1864. 68th IND should be 63rd IND.

The names of Long, Brown, McNutt, and Boulds were severely illegible. In addition, Brown, McNutt, and Boulds were marked as 68th Indiana and therefore, when re-interred in MNC, could not be reconciled with state records. Their headstones read Brin, Nutt, and Unknown U.S. Soldier.
Col. Stiles to Col. Cameron: "On the 10th (June) moved out on the Acworth road to the right and front; camped in line of battle on the right of Butterfield's division, of the Twentieth Corps. Here I remained until the 15th, when I formed line of battle and advanced toward the enemy. Our line of battle here was in sight of Lost Mountain. In the afternoon of the 16th (June) advanced upon the enemy, with the Twenty-fourth Kentucky on my right, in the direction of a strong line of works held by the enemy, and into which their skirmishers were driven.
