Mrs. Emily Tackett Adams, 74, of Loudendale, died Friday in Thomas Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.(sic)
Survivors: daughters, Mrs. Bertha Pauley of South Charleston, Mrs. Gladys Ferrell of Loudendale, Mrs Roberta Laird, Mrs Goldie Bryant, and Mrs Linda Walker of Cleveland, Ohio; sons, Bill and Bernard of Loudendale and Samuel of Cross Lanes; sisters, Mrs. Stashie Callen of Clendenin, Mrs Hattie Pauley of Alum Creek, Mrs Dollie Williams of Ashford, and Mrs Eva Runyan of Michigan; brothers, Earl Tackett of Yawkey, Irvin of Costa.
The body is at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, and will be taken to the home of Mrs. Ferrell in Loudendale Sunday at 2 p.m.
The funeral will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Loudendale Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Albert Halbrook and the Rev. Ruth Scarbro officiating. Burial will be in the Midkiff Cemetery at Sumerco.
Omitted from the obituary were the deceased husband, Elza "Elzie" Adams and two deceased children: James Clifford Adams and Vivian Clodene Adams Bailes.
