She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Garst was a member of Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren, where she served as a Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred S. Garst, on Jan. 21; one daughter, one brother and two sisters.
Survivors include daughter, Ann Daggett, Bridgewater, Va.; two sons, Larry Wayne Garst, Gray, and John L. Garst, Jonesborough; two sisters, Reba Jenkins, Whitesburg, and Edyth Rhea, Knoxville; four grandchildren; and several and nieces and nephews.
