LAKETOWN, Utah- Caroline Moffat Kearl, 89, died Monday at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
She was born Sept. 26, 1886 in Meadowville, Rich County, Utah to Joseph S. and Lois Barham Gunn Moffat. She married Morton Kearl March 16, 1906, at Laketown. The marriage was solemnized at the Logan LDS Temple June 10, 1910. Mr Kearl died July 12, 1962.
She spent all of her life in the Laketown area, and was an active member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include three sons and four daughters, Rothery Kearl of Layton, Utah, Allison and Leon both of Laketown, Winnifred Dunn of Bennington, Idaho, Mrs. Merlin Marland of Kemmerer, Wyo, Mrs. Mildred Fredricksen of Idaho Falls and Mrs. Kathleen Higgins of Brigham City, Utah; 29 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Lucille Thornock of Randolph, Utah.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Laketown LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Matthew’s Mortuary in Montpelier Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday at the ward chapel from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services.
Burial will be in the Laketown Cemetery.
