Daughter of Alva & Jessie (Gaast) Alexander.
She enter the U.S. Army Women's Army Corps on Sept. 1, 1943, and served until she was discharged on Jan. 17, 1946, as a first lieutenant. After her discharge, she went to work with the Veterans Administration in St. Louis, Mo., and later Washington, D.C. In 1953, she moved to Denver and worked for the Bureau of Mines and retired in 1973
