Mrs. L. Greenup Dies Monday

Mrs. Laura Greenup, 88, 310 East 2nd Street died at the home of her daughter Monday.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m., April 2 in the Church of the Nazarene, with burial in Camp Creek cemetery in McKenzie county. Rev. R. Lloyd Birks will officiate.

Laura Hennis was born March 16, 1860 in Washington county, where she was reared and attended school. Left an orphan at the age of three years she lived with foster parents in Fertile, Iowa. She joined the Free Methodist church at the age of 14 years and March 15, 1877 married the pastor's son, William A. Greenup. She moved to Williston in 1933 and made her home with her daughter since.

Mr. Greenup died in October 1947 in Williston.

Four daughters, Mrs. Milton Scott (Grace), Williston; Mrs. Charley Makings (Mabel), Santa Cruz, Calif.; Mrs. Leona Burnet, Visalia, Calif.; Mrs. John Lawhead (Minerva) of Vancouver, Wash.; two sons, John Greenup of Skaar, N.D. and Harlan Greenup; 22 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren, survive her

She was the daughter of Silas R. and Catherine (Morris) Henness. Their children were: Christopher, Francis, Andrew and Laura.
