Funeral services for Darold V. Abel, 56 of Harrison, Neb., were June 3 1997, at Memorial Methodist Church in Harrison with the Rev. Neil Kloppenborg officiating Burial was at the Van Tassell Cemetery. Memorials are to the Harrison Methodist Church or the Harrison Rescue Unit. Donations may be sent to Security National Bank.

He died May 29,1997 , at Minneapolis, Minn. He was born April 11, 1941, in Harrison to Adin and Edna Mae (Hamilton) Abel.

Survivors include his wife, Joann; mother Edna Mae Abel; daughters Anita Rae Wilkison of Thermopolis and Lynn Marie Streeks of Minatare, Neb.; brothers Robert of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and James of Security, Colo.; sisters Adrienne Rone of Casper and Linda Hytrek of Rapid City,S.D.; and four grandchildren.

Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford was in charge of arrangements.
