Mrs. Boss Armstrong Passes Away
Mrs. Mamie (Howard) Armstrong,
wife of the late Boss Armstrong,
both native citizens of the Bonita
Community passed away in a Sarah,
Oklahoma hospital July 11 where
she was undergoing surgery.
She was born in Bonita,Texas
March 2, 1891 the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Howard, Uncle Josh
to many of his friends.She has been a member
of the Eric Church of Christ since
moving there in 1925.
She was married to Boss Armstrong
in her early girlhood. To this
union two children, a son, Guy, and
a daughter, Flake were born.
She is survived by her two children
and two grandchildren of Eric, Okla.,
two sisters, Mrs. Spence Phillips, Bonita
and Mrs. Dave Jones, Chillicothe, Texas,
two brothers, Cal Howard, Nocona and
Buck Howard of Abernathy,Texas,and a
host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were conducted
from the First Methodist Church,
Eric,Okla., July 13, 1950 at 2:30 p.m.
Rev. Wayne Coffin and Rev. Loyd Rice
officiated. Interment was in the Eric
Oklahoma Cemetery by the side of her
husband who preceeded her in death about
twenty years ago.
They had made their home there and
conducted a business of their own.
Relatives Attending the funeral

Phillips, Bonita, Mr and Mrs. Cal Howard,
Mr. and Mrs.Joe Bailey Brown, Mr. and Mrs.
Port Howard and some of her family, Nocona

Ray Howard and families, Wichita Falls.
