Melvina Johansen Christensen
November 12, 1863 – August 5, 1930

Mrs. Melvina Johansen Christensen, wife of Niels Christensen, died Monday after a long illness following a paralytic stroke. Mrs. Christensen was born in Mt. Pleasant, November 12, 1863 of pioneer parents, Niels and Annie Andersen Johnasen. She was married on January 2, 1887.

She is survived by her husband, one son, N. LeRoy Christensen, and one daughter, Mrs. James Fillis, and six grandchildren, all of Mt. Pleasant. The following brothers and sisters also survive; Mrs. William Oman and Andrew Johsansen of Boneta; Kimball Johansen of Delta; Moroni Johansen of Spring City; Mrs. L. W. Jensen and Wilford Johansen of Mt. Pleasant.

Mrs. Christensen was an active church worker and had been a Relief society teacher in the South ward for many years.
