Lawrence Herschel Buck, 85, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at North Kansas City Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 19 at the D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel with a visitation from 1-2 p.m.; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggest contributions to the Independence Blvd. Christian Church.
Mr. Buck was a WWII Navy veteran serving on the U.S.S. Amsterdam, a member of the U.A.W. and retired from GM after 32 years of service, and a member of the Independence Blvd. Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Louise Buck of the home; children: Anna Edwards of Kansas City; Wanda Edwards of the home; and Jon Edwards of Grandview; a sister, Ella Williams of Independence, MO; a granddaughter, Amanda Edwards; and a great grandson, Colton Edwards.
