Major League Baseball player. Veach was an outfielder in fourteen seasons with the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees and the Washington Senators. He was part of a impressive offensive lineup that included Hall of Famer Ty Cobb and Sam Crawford. Veach drove in 100 or more RBIs six times and batted .300 or better twelve times during his career. His lifetime batting average is an outstanding .310. He has 2063 career hits. His slugging percentage was better that .500 in 1919 and 1921.
