Mrs. Maddox was a retired employee of Central State Hospital and a member of the Hardwick Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Mr. Lewis A. Maddox of Daphyne Drive, Milledgeville; two daughters, Mrs. Wesley Law of Dublin and Mrs. Barney Collins Jr. of Carrington Woods, Milledgeville; and five grandchildren.

Elizabeth was born 6-12-1901 to Freeman Charles Brantley and Margaret Ozina "Babe" Foskey Brantley. Both parents are buried in the Foskey Cemetery in Johnson County, Georgia.
