Funeral Rites For Mrs. C.P. Bullington Sedan, May 22
Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. C.P. Bullington, for many years a resident of the Sedan community, who passed away Thursday, May 20. Rev. J.L. Ragan, Sedan pastor, conducted the services assisted by Rev. H.C. Lamb, Baptist minister. Burial was made in the Elmwood cemetery.
Susie Minnie Byron was born at Hermitage, Tenn. August 15, 1882, and was 54 years, 9 months and 5 days of age at the time of her death. She was married to C.P. Bullington of Hermitage Nov. 27, 1897.
They moved to Lamar county, Texas, later to Clay county and in 1920 the family came to the Sedan community southwest of Carnegie where they have since made their home. Mrs. Bullington became a Christian 36 years ago.
Two children, Tyrie and Leon preceded their mother in death.
Surviving in the immediate family are the husband, C.P. Bullington, two daughters, Berda and Sallie, and two sons, J.B. and C.E. Bullington; three grandchildren, Dorothy Sue and Billie Charles Steph and Betty Gene Bullington. A brother, J.W. Byron lives at Louisville, Ky. and two half-brothers, Ben and Geo. E. Spry, and a sister, Mrs. W.M. Bruce all live at Nashville, Tenn.
Mrs. Bruce and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Spry and family were present for the funeral.
