Sadie was born on March 20, 1914, in Hurdland, Mo., the daughter of Levi and Etta Conder VanSickle.
She married Denver C. Aucutt on Feb. 19, 1935, in Kirksville, Mo. He died on Aug. 14, 1990.
Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Aucutt of El Paso and Robert (Janice) Aucutt of Festus, Mo.; two daughters, Sue (Larry) Byrd of Festus, Mo., and Laura (John) Benedict of Moline; two sisters, Gail Lorey of Baring, Mo., and Marie Fitzgerald of Labadie, Mo.; 17 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Leonard VanSickle, and one great-grandson.
Sadie was an active member of the First Baptist Church in El Paso and was a member and past worthy matron of Order of the Eastern Star, James Thompson Chapter 147. She was also a 4-H leader and a former member El Paso Farmers Club.
Sadie was a homemaker and farmed with her husband for 30 years and had made custom draperies for over 16 years.
