Served as a Private in Troop C in the 8th Cavalry. Killed by Apache Indians at Dry Creek.Harry E. McMillan was from Michigan. He was a Pvt in the 8th Cavalry. He was killed December 19, 1885, by a group of Apache Indians at a place now known as Soldier Hill in then Socorro County, New Mexico. His body was taken to the WS Ranch for burial. He is buried in a common grave with three other soldiers, Frank E. Hutton, Daniel Collins and George Gibson.
