On 7 Jan 1908 Jack married Sara Priscilla Teague in Gillham, Sevier County, Arkansas. Together they had the following children: Charles (1908-1908), Dempsey Wayne (1910-1999), Gladys Marie (1913-1995), Clifford Teague (1915-2001), Jack J (1918-1990), Darwin "Glenn" (1922-1986).
Jack was a farmer of 40 acres in Courtney Flat, OK and used mules to till the ground. He had a set of red and a set of black mules. He was an accomplished mule/horse trader. An a number of occasions while farming in Courtney, in order to make a living he would take his mules to a lead mine around Ardmore, OK and hauled lead.
He passed away at home and was burried at the Rubottom Cemetery in Courtney Flat, Love County, OK.
