Leta Vordick of Millersview, Texas, passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the age of 62.

She was born June 26, 1943, in Bradshaw, Texas, to Bell Bradshaw and Jessie Walker. Leta attended schol in Winters, Wingate and Bronte, Texas, and was a homemaker.

Leta married Bill Nesbit on Nov. 20, 1960, and lived in Winters from 1975 to 1988, where she was assistant manager of Dairy Queen. She married Ronnie Vordick on Feb. 28, 1987, and moved to Millersview, Texas, in 1988 and worked at J&P Food Store in Eden until becoming a homemaker. Leta was full of life and enjoyed her grandchildren, singing, dancing, chatting with friends, playing games on the Internet and gathering with family and friends. She had a smile and a kind work for everyone and hardly ever met a stranger. She touched many lives and will live in our hearts forever.

Leta was preceded in death by her parents, Bell and Jessie Bradshaw; three brothers, Jerry, J.B. and Ray Dale Bradshaw; and one brother-in-law, Coy "Smokey" Hord. *See note following this published obituary.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Vordick of Millersview; one daughter, Gina King and husband Raymond of Odessa; two sons, Tracey Nesbit and wife Amy of Millersview, Texas, and Casey Nesbit and wife Sue Ann of Robert Lee; three stepsons, Ricky Vordick and wife Dana of Brownwood, Dea Vordick and wife Morgan of Grape Creek, and Dale Vordick of San Anagelo; three sisters, Shirley Hord of Winters, Joann Claxton and husband Roger of Denton, and Cora Dillard and husband Darrell of Santa Anna; 13 grandwhildren, Lance King, Jennifer Nesbit, Casey Maree Nesbit, Stetson Nesbit, Alycia Nesbit, Colby and Ian Vordick, James Larissa and Lea Vordick, Ryan and Natalie Vordick, and Amanda Garza; seven nephews; one niece; and a very good friend, Ann Crowe of VistaCare Hospice of San Angelo, who we feel became a member of our family. Leta leaves behind many friends and family.

Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29, in the chapel of the Eden Funeral Home of Eden, Texas. Interment will follow in the Eden Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Victor Santoya, Cody Hord, Stephen Bradshaw, Jesse Bullard, Jerry Hord, Ben Hord, Cliff Matingley and Trey Bradshaw. Honorary pallbearers will be Lance King and Stetson Nesbit.

The family asks that in liew of flowers, donatios be made to VistaCare Hospice of San Angelo. Services entrusted to Eden Funeral Home.

What was inadvertently excluded from her obituary is that she was also pre-deceased by her two half-sisters, Helen Oleta (Bradshaw) Polhemus and Jessie Evelyn (Bradshaw) Woodard; one niece, Nancy Woodard, who absolutely adored her gorgeous aunt; and one nephew, Edward Arthur Polhemus.

She is survived by one niece and one nephew in the Woodard line and one nephew and two nieces in the Polhemus line.
