Doc was the son of William Franklin and Gatsie Ophelia (Vanderbilt) Bolin. He married Lillian Holman in 1961.

Henry "Doc" Bolin, 89, Idabel, died Thursday in Idabel.

He was born Aug. 30, 1903, in Texarkana, Ark., and had lived in Oklahoma since 1965. Prior to moving to Oklahoma he resided in California and Arizona. He was a retired storekeeper for General Motors Corporation and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Holman Bolin, in 1990.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Katherine Bolin of Fountain Valley, Calif.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one niece, Imogene Bain of Broken Bain.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Norwood/Coffey-Leonard Chapel in Idabel with Rev. Daniel Williams officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery under direction of Norwood/Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home of Idabel.
