Kayla is a twin. She was born with severe IUGR and acidosis. The doctors suspected that she had a rare form of mitochondrial disease. Unfortunately, this was not and will never be proven. I currently work with a geneticist who suspects it may have been a rare form of muscular dystrophy.
Kayla was and will forever be my beautiful little girl.
Her twin brother asks about her and openly talks about her to everyone, including strangers, when he feels the need to. They will always be eternally connected.
