She was born March 26, 1911 in Cedar Fort, Utah to Ralph Henry and Elizabeth Berry Messersmith. She married Aldred J. Jones, March 11, 1929 in Cedar Fort. He died February 21, 1989. She was a homemaker and worked all her life on the family farm. She liked to crochet and enjoyed visiting on the telephone and gardening. She was survived by three daughters, Vinece McLane, Lehi; Darlene (William) Clements, Riverton; Kaye (Frank) Baxter, Pueblo, Colorado; 25 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Vernal (Cora) Messersmith and Shirley (Knollin) Haws, Lehi; Dean (Nancy) Messersmith, Robert (Shirley) Messersmith, Cedar Fort; Margaret Danielson, Pleasant Grove. She was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Aldred Jones and a daughter, Margaret Johnson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 11, 1997 at 11 a.m. in the Lehi West Stake Center, 1900 No. 500 West. Friends could call at the Wing Mortuary, Lehi, Monday evening from 7-9 p.m. and at the Church, Tuesday one hour prior to services. Burial was in the Cedar Fort Cemetery.
