Wilma Sweat Blackwell, 74, passed away on Tuesday January 18, 2000 at Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville. She was a native and life long resident of Macclenny. She was a member of the Church of God of Baldwin. She is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Survivors include her daughters, Loretta (Butch) Rowe of Macclenny, and Kim Maddox of White Springs; sons, James Samuel (Sammy) Blackwell of Sanderson and Claude (Wayne) Blackwell of Macclenny; brother, Johnny Sweat of Baldwin; sisters, Mandy Wainright of Jacksonville, Toria Higginbotham of Maxville, Alma Hopps, Bernice Raulerson, Shirley Rhoden and Sally Cox all of St. Augustine; grandchildren, B.J. Rowe, and Mandy Canaday; and 1 great grandson, Avery Canaday. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 21, at 11 AM in the Church of God of Macclenny with Rev. Johnnie Anderson and Rev. Doug Cercy, officiating. Interment will be in South Prong Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, (today) from 5 PM until 9 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements by FRASER FUNERAL HOME, Macclenny.
