ARGYLE, NY - Barbara "Bobbie" Kraft Herbold, 58, of State Route 40, died suddenly Tuesday (April 18, 2006) at the Glens Falls Hospital. Born on November 21, 1947 in Beacon, NY, she was the daughter of Russell and Gloria (Herrmann) Kraft of Fishkill. Bobbie graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappingers Falls and from SUNY New Paltz with her masters degree in Elementary Education. She taught first grade for three years in the Spackenkill School District. Bobbie and Thomas D. Herbold were married on November 23, 1974 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fishkill. The couple moved to Argyle and spent numerous years as dairy farmers and most recently bred and raised registered English Bulldogs. She enjoyed her horses, her farm and especially her children. Survivors, besides her husband of 31 years, include her parents, her children, Heather Herbold, David and Kim Herbold and their son Skyler, Lori and Ryan McKernon and their expected child, and Michael Herbold; her sister, Ellen Hockman of Pleasant Valley; her nephew, Matthew Hockman and many loving family and friends. At Bobbie's request there are no calling hours. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00pm Saturday (April 22, 2006) at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle. Donations may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L Street, NW, Washington DC 20037. Arrangements are under the direction of the M.B.
