Daniel Lee "Sonny Boy" Arnold Jr., 39, of Santa Monica, California, formerly of Girard, Kansas, passed away suddenly of a heart attack while on his way to visit a clinic in Santa Monica. He had previously been diagnosed with a heart condition.

He was born in Girard, Kansas to Daniel Lee and Patsy Ann Davidson Arnold Hedges. He settled in Pittsburg, Kansas at the age of 12. He had lived in Kingsville, Texas; Hastings, Minn.; and Hopewell, Va. Once in Pittsburg he attended Pittsburg Middle School and High School. At the age of 14, he moved to Kingsville, then to Dallas with his father.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Silay Peniloza Arnold; His father and step-mother, Linda Arnold of Mesquite, Texas, his mother and step-father, Jon Hedges of Girard, Ks.; a brother Michael Dean Arnold of Dallas, Texas; a half sister, Melissa Hooper of Oklahoma; a step-brother, Orson McIntyre of Girard, Ks.; his maternal grandfather, Orval "Shorty" Davidson; and a step-son, Andrew Moreno, from a previous marriage.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Elanore Tridel Arnold and Imogene Badart Davidson, and paternal grandfather, Charles Don Arnold.
