James Wendell Bagley, 59, of Dora died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2000, at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham. Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at 2 p.m., in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel with burial in the Bethel Cemetery in Dora. Rev. William Reynolds will officiate. New Horizon Funeral Home will direct.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m., today, Aug. 5, 2000, at the New Horizon Funeral Home in Dora.
He was a retired coal miner from the Drummond Company and a member of the UMWA.
He was preceded in death by his father, James E. Bagley, and brother, John Arnold Bagley.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Bagley of Dora; one daughter, Wendy Shelton and her husband, Lee of Dora; two brothers, James Michael Bagley of Sumiton and John DeWayne Bagley of Dora; one sister, Kathleen Day of Dora; two grandsons, Hagen and Jarret Shelton both of Dora; and several nieces and nephews.
