Joyce Chafin, 69, of Dora died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at her residence. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at New Horizon Memorial Chapel with burial at Bethel Cemetery in Dora. The Rev. Glen McCall will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 tonight. New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Dora.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Chafin; daughter, Renay Chafin; and brother, Harlan Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Chafin of Ocala, Fla.; two sons, Ronald D. Willcutt of Birmingham and James H. "Jay" Chafin of Dora; sister, Helen Marie Phillips of Dora; and three grandchildren, Tommy Willcutt of Birmingham and Brett Chafin and Reid Chafin, both of Adamsville.
