She was born May 27, 1946, in Gaston County, daughter of the late George and Florie Owens Terry.

Joyce attended First Freewill Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: Son and daughter-in-law, Leslie Norman Boone Jr. and Rita of Gastonia; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Boone Keeter and Scott of Kings Mountain, NC; brothers, David Terry of Bessemer City, Neal Terry of Gastonia; sisters, Rose Lee Braswell of Belmont, Yvone Bridges and Vicky Lee of Gastonia; former husband, Leslie Boone Sr.; 10 grandchildren
