Passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Baker was born August 17, 1943 in Kalamazoo, and resided in the area all of his life. He was a decorated Vietnam veteran, enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and collecting antique trucks. Surviving are his wife, Sandy, whom he married November 11, 1961; two sons, Chris (Janice) Baker of Gobles, Todd (Buffy) Baker of Gobles; five granddaughters, Jessica, Elyse, Megan, Erin and Andrea; one great-grandson, Jimmy; his mother, Dorothy Baker of Gobles; three sisters, Joyce, Mary and Bonnie. He was preceded in in death by his father, Henry. The family will meet friends Friday, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the

Funeral services will be held Friday at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Pumfery officiating. Following his wishes, cremation will take place with interment of cremains in Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date. The family suggests memorials to ALS Assoc. (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
