Professional Hockey Player. He began his hockey career in Northern Ontario in the mining towns of Haileybury and New Liskeard. He continued his amateur career in Toronto (1920) and Eveleth (1923) before turning professional in 1926 to 1927 with the Chicago Blackhawks. Rodden was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs during the following season. He began the 1928 to 1929 season with the Boston Bruins and split time between the Bruins and the Windsor Bulldogs, of the Can-Pro League. He returned to the NHL for the final time in 1930 to 1931 with the New York Rangers. He finished out his professional career with stops in Pittsburgh, Windsor, Quebec and Tulsa. He was the brother of Michael J. Rodden, sportswriter and NHL referee.
