Following jobs they also lived in
Elgin and Savannah, Illinois,
Yankton, So. Dakota and Bovie, Minnesota
before heading west.
Together they had a total of nine children,

Daniel, who died in infancy.

Edward J.,
Lois May, who died at age 22 days.

About 1940 the family moved to Roseville, CA. where Joe worked for the railroad. All the grown children soon followed moving to California.
