Adelina Encinias, 83, died Friday, July 3, 1998. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in St. Helen Catholic Church. Mass of the Resurrection will be at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Anthony Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Portales Cemetery by Wheeler Mortuary of Portales. Mrs. Encinias was born in Palma and lived in Aurora until her move to Vaughn in 1946. She moved to Portales in 1947 where she worked for the Community Services and the Adult Day Care in Portales taking care of the elderly. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She married Noberto Encinias in 1935 at Villanueva. She was preceded in death by a son, Martin Encinias, in 1960. Survivors include three sons, Grable Encinias and Ruben Encinias, both of Clovis, and Robert Encinias of Portales; two daughters, Virginia Lucero of Portales and Manuela Torres of Clovis; a sister, Mela Aragon of Vaughn; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
