HARDINSBURG - Bertha Hockenberry Duke, 85, of Hardinsburg died Sunday, Aug. 29, 1999, at Ohio County Hospital in Hartford. She was born in Breckinridge County and was a member of Emmanuel Fellowship Church in Harned. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Duke, and two children.
Survivors include a son, Roy Duke of Hudson; a daughter, Rosa Lee Gearuian of Louisville; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margie Stilwell and Christine Miller, both of Hardinsburg.
Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Burial will be in McQuady Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. today and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
