Stinky was a beautiful calico cat, given to our 6 year old daughter by a friend of mine. Our daughter originally named her Patches, but our son kept calling her Stinky until it stuck. She had to be the smartest cat I ever knew. We fed her twice daily, but if she got hungry between feedings, she would open the cabinet and feed herself. This amazing cat would extend her claws, knock on a door, and if you didn't open it, she would grab the knob, twist it, and open the door herself. She loved our daughter dearly, and would lick her face incessantly. They had a very special bond, and Stinky would even hug our daughters neck. Her precious cat was short-haired, but she was very soft and silky. Stinky loved spaghetti, but was afraid of spiders. When Stinky got sick, and could no longer open the cabinet, she taught our cat Shorty how to. One day while our Daughter was home from college, we noticed a large tumor under her front left leg. We took Stinky to the Vet., and had the lump removed, but unfortunately the cancer had spread. We had 14yrs, 2mths, and 5dys with this precious cat. This wonderful cat passed from cancer, but we still love and miss you Stinky, and as long as you're in the hearts of others, you'll live forever.
