Mike was born to Howard F. & Frances M. Huggins on October 29,1956. He had 4 brothers Howard Jr, George P. , & Joseph F. & Robert L. he also had one sister Josephine F. Huggins Bowland.

Mike and Andrea (Bennett) were married on August 30,1986. Mike and Andrea raised no children of their own, Andrea had two miscarriages, however they shared their home and time and mostly their love with several neices and nephews. Mike passed away from complications of diabetes at the young age of 43, in the comfort of his home. He was preceeded in death by his parents and one brother Joseph F. Huggins.
My husband was a quiet man, but a man that family and friends could count on if ever there was trouble. One would only have to call Mike and he would be there for them. Many a time did his baby brother or sister have a score that Mike settled. He enjoyed fast cars, monster trucks and 4x4 truckin' and four wheelin'. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. We were very close to our nephews Bob, Jesse and Josh. Mike shared a special bond with his sister Josephine and his younger brother Robbie as well. Mikes favorite time of the year was Fall, Halloween was his favorite holiday. Mike was faithful and strong. He loved me unconditionally, there were times when he probably should have but he never ever turned away from me. He never would let anyone hurt someone he loved. His friendships were lifelong friendships and forever meant exactly that FOREVER.
He was a very good husband and friend.

The following poem was handed to me by my Aunt Debbie, after the funeral services for my husband. The date was Feb. 04, 2000. It was written by his best friend, Bill Brown.
You Are Gone...Not Forgotten
I would like to dedicate this poem to one of my best and only friends I have in this world. Friends for over 25 years. Never, once did we ever, have harsh words. Never, knew a fight ever existed between us. He was a MAN, he was a HUSBAND, above he was my BROTHER. He's gone now, but lies in a better place, but, I will promise him, my brother-friend... I'll keep our memories alive.

Time has passed so quickly
It passed by us so fast
When you love and care for someone
It seems it doesnt't last.

I'm gonna miss you my friend
Through the coming years
You were one of my best friends in life
I say it with loneliness and tears.

But now you are in the hands of JESUS
Those glory hands of CHRIST
No more sickness or sorrow
Only eternal life.

You have departed from us
But memories of you will never die
Your home now away from our life
In the heavenly sky.

Someday my friend, we will meet again.
Your brother and friend forever, Bill Brown

I love you Mike and I always will.~ Andrea
