Tuesday morning Seth Covell was called to the Great Beyond. He settled on a ranch near Machias in 1901 where he lived until a year ago when he moved to Seattle. In a street car accident two months ago he received injuries which resulted in his death. He leaves to mourn him, five sons, Everett E., Barney F., Frank W., Walter W., all of Seattle, and Earl W., of Monroe; four grandchildren and one sister, Emma Covell of Seattle. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the undertaking chapel of Purdy & Sons, the Rev. Storey officiating. The burial was in the G.A.R. cemetery.

Seth was a POW 5/2/1863 at Chancelleville, VA. His parents were noted as John & Serena (nee Rice) and noted as having ten siblings His military noted him as deserted but nothing was ever done about it and later he came back and remained with his unit till
