Alice Elizabeth Kragness was born 18 Jun 1910 in Houston, Houston Co., MN to Thorvald Kragness and Effie Johnson. Alice married Archie Welty in 1927 and they later divorced. She married Melvin Anderson on 5 Jul 1947 in Red Wing, Goodhue Co., MN.
Alice died 1 Sep 1998 in Ellsworth, Pierce Co., WI at the Ellsworth Care Center. She was 88 yrs. old.
Alice was survived by six children, Inez (Morley) Hauschildt of Lake Norden, SD, Genevieve Johnson of Ellsworth,WI, Patricia (Burnell) Lunde of Wanamingo, MN, Norma (Marvin) Steele of Hager City, WI, Glenn (Jeanette) Welty of Ellsworth and John (Marilee) Anderson of Hastings, MN; 18 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and one brother, Charles O. (Birde) Hanson of Houston, MN.
Preceding her in death were both her parents, both her husbands, two brothers, Paul Kragness & Henry Hanson; one sister, Grace Babler.
Alice was buried in Beldenville Cemetery where her mother and husband are buried.
