Funeral services for Marshall Thomas "Jack" Beckum, Sr.,46,
assistant chief of police for Milledgeville, who died at his home here Friday morning of a heart attack, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Northside Baptist Church.
The Rev. Charles Patisaul will officiate. Masonic services will be held in West View Cemetery.
Mr. Beckum was a native of Milledgeville and had been a member of the police force for a number of years. He was a member of the Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Wood Beckum; three sons, Marshall T. Beckum, Jr., Clifford Owen Beckum and William Dewey Beckum, all of Milledgeville; two daughters, Mrs. Leon Jackson of Gordon and Mrs. Richard Clopton of Eatonton; parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.N. Beckum of Milledgeville; two brothers, Clifford Beckum and John R. Beckum, both of Milledgeville, and one sister, Mrs. Lucille
