Mrs. Bacon was born near Winterset, Jan. 1, 1873, the daughter of Simeon S. and Mary H. Burd. She was one of 12 children all of whom have preceded her in death. Her father was a pastor of the Winterset Christian church. She was educated in the local schools and attended the Winterset high school.
She spent practically all her life in Iowa, and had lived in Des Moines the last eight years.

Married 2. Harry E. Dilley 10 Sep 1918 Maryville, Nodaway, Missouri. No other records of Harry have been located. Unable to find the family in 1920, but May is shown in the 1930 census as a widow.
Married 3. Orville Amos Bacon 10 Dec 1938 Grant City, Worth, Missouri.
