Albert Bergen, 87, died this morning at Dee Hospital of causes incident to age.
Mr. Bergen was born March 23, 1880 in Brigham City, a son of Nels Nicholi and Mary Peterson Bergen.
On April 13, 1904, he was married to Dora Lee White in Brigham City.
He had resided in Ogden since 1911 and was a supervisor-tendernian for the Southern Pacific Co. prior to retiring.
He was a member of the Southern Pacific Old Timers Club, Woodmen of the World and the 32nd LDS ward.
Surviving are his widow, two sons and two daughters, Von M. Bergen, Albert Lee Bergen, both of Torrance, Calif.; Mrs. Zola Starner, Salt Lake City, Mrs. Florence Glatt, San Francisco, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel with Bishop Robert L. Nielsen of the 32nd ward officiating.
Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until services. Burial in the Brigham City Cemetery.
The family suggests donations to the heart fund in lieu of flowers.
