BRIGHAM CITY - Rita Mae Grover Allen our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend lost her battle with cancer and passed away on Saturday, December 10, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

She was born on May 18, 1928, in Penrose, Utah, a daughter of Don Merlin and Maria Jennette Morris Grover.

She married Richard Glen Allen on December 19, 1944, in Logan LDS Temple.

They have lived in Illinois,Tremonton and Ogden, Utah, also in California and Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

She was an active member of the LDS Church serving as Relief Society president in Fountain Valley, California, as well as many other callings.

She was a loving mother and grandmother to her own children as well as to her nieces and nephew.

She is survived by her husband of Lake Havasu City, Arizona: two sons and two daughters: James Richard and Phyllis Allen, Ogden; Sandra and Kerry Donaldson, Hemit, California; Curtis Neal and Thekla Allen, Katy, Texas; and Jennette and Clark Glover, Blanding, Utah; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two slsters and four brothers: Lucille Berchtold, Brigham City; Iva Cobb, Townsend, Montana; Scott Grover, Apache Junction, Arizona; Grant Grover and Don Grover, Townsend, Montana; and Jed Grover. Elieson AFB. Alaska.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. at the Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 1200 South, in Brigham City. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and again on Thursday one hour prior to the services.

Interment in the Brigham City Cemetery.
