John is the youngest son of John (Sr) and Virginia (Clark) Copp. His father died before he was born, his mother died before he was seven years old. He was raised by his grandparents, George and Anna Copp. He married Eppie Mauk 10 February 1901 at Chuckey River, Washington County, Tennessee. They lived in Colorado for a short while, then in 1902 moved to Kansas City, Kansas. They have three children: Florence, Rex, and Blanche. John farmed all his life. Family Records
