Anna Ruth Bynum Gabbard, 87, of Fort Smith passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2005. She was born October 5, 1917, in Chismville to Iverson Callaway Bynum and Myrtle Frances Hice Bynum. She was owner/operator of Ann's Beauty Shop for 50 years, a 1944 graduate of Harpers's Beauty College and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Graveside funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2005, at Oak Cemetery with Captain Michael Lucas officiating. Interment was at Oak Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years; three daughters; one son and his wife; two sisters and their husbands, Cal and Iva; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a very special friend Virginia.
