Our community was saddened Friday morning to learn of the death of our former resident and neighbor, Art Bell, Art had been a patien at Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines and passed away there on Thursday. Art is survived by his wife, Edna, son Tom and wife Marie, a daughter Clarita and husband Doug Van Dermyde and 5 grandchildren who he though a lot of, also four sisters Mrs. Wallace Grounds, Mrs. Hylton Abbey, Mrs. Ida Humbert, and Mrs. Mary Everhart. Our community extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved families. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in Greenfield. Burial was in the Victoria cemetery south of Massena. His friends of this community attended the church and graveside services.
