Rose Edmonds, 68, of McGregor, died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in Hewitt. Graveside services and interment will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, at McGregor Cemetery under the direction of Cole Funeral Home with Rev. Carroll Hambrick officiating. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rose was born in Hamilton, Texas, to the late Claud Luce and Julie (Blancett) Livingston and attended school in Hamilton. She married Jimmy Harland Edmonds. Throughout her life, she enjoyed various types of arts and crafts, gardening and fishing. Prior to her 1976 retirement, she worked for 14 years as a nurse aide at Westview Manor. She was also employed as a cook by Texas Bar-b-que in Valley Mills, and at Smead Manufacturing in McGregor as a folder maker.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband on April 13, 1994.

Survivors include sons, Ronald Edmonds, of Fort Worth, Donald Edmonds and wife, Linda, of Hewitt; daughter, Lorrie Ann Fogle and husband, Ross, of Robinson; adopted daughter, Carol Ann Barnes, of Waco; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Don Livingston and wife, Joyce, of Glen Rose; many other family members; and a host of friends.
