Janet, age 86, was the daughter of the late, David Ritter and Edith Barnes Ritter Kline. She was preceded in death by a sister, Larue Ritter and a step brother Glenn Kline. Janet was a teacher in th West Perry School District for 38 years. She started teaching at the one room Red School at Erly. Following that she taught at the Ickesburg School; Tressler Orphan's Home, Loysville; Green Park School; and retired from the second grade in the West Perry School District. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Shippensburg State Teacher's College. She was a life long member of Tressler Free Lutheran Church, of Loysville and was a member of its Ladies Aide; 50 year member of the Perry County Chapter 459 Order of the Eastern Star, New Bloomfield; Pennsylvania and Perry County Retired Teachers Assiciation and PSEA and NEA. Surviving are her loving husband of 62 years, John E. Davis; two daughters, Jayne Peters and husband Barry Peters, Shermans Dale, Susan Boldosser, Carlisle; three grandchildren; David Boldosser of Carlisle, Michael Peters and wife, Elizabeth, Pittsburgh; Jennifer Lamason and husband, Justin, Mechanicsburg; two sisters, Lenore Ritter, Camp Hill; Sara Miller, Harrisburg; a brother, John Kline of Donnley's Mills; Three step sisters; Julia Manning and Sarah Phillips, both of Mechanicsburg and Irene Smith, New Bloomfield.
