Born in Bailey, N.C., Mr. Eatmon was a member of Elizabeth River Baptist Church. He was also a member of Khedive Shrine, Norview Masonic Lodge, Naval Air Rework Facility and Fleet Reserve Association. After his retirement from the military, Wiley worked for AAA of Tidewater and volunteered at local hospitals and nursing homes.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Ellen Eatmon; two daughters, Diane Gwin and her husband, Jimmy, of Chesapeake, and Kaye Renaud and her husband, Mark, of Fayetteville, N.C.; a son, Ron Eatmon and his wife, Joyce, of Virginia Beach; a sister, Dot Leckliter of Milton, Del.; two granddaughters, Cameron Eatmon of Virginia Beach and Danielle Gwin of Chesapeake; four grandsons, John Holland and his wife, Jennifer, of Wake Forest, N.C., Shea Eatmon of Virginia Beach, Aaron Gwin of Chesapeake, and Corey Renaud of Fayetteville, N.C.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by Bob Wells. Family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Elizabeth River Baptist Church Building Fund.
