Major League Baseball Player. He made his debut as an outfielder for the National League Washington Senators on August 16, 1893, and was the first person from Nebraska to play in the Major Leagues. He played his whole five year career, 1893 to 1897, with the Washington Senators, ending with a .281 batting average, 492 hits, 19 homeruns, 280 runs batted in, 307 runs scored and 93 stolen bases. He also umpired first base for 2 games in the National League in the 1897 season.
