Rella was born to the parents of Silas Miller and Mina Ann Gorden on April 26th, 1885 in Washington County, Oklahoma. She passed January 8th, 1948 in Coffeyville, Montgomery County. She was first married to James Wiley Skaggs, and they had a son named Edward, a daughter that passed shortly after being born, and a son Warren that was born shortly after her husband passed from Typhoid Fever. Rella then married Warren Tony Skaggs. From that union they had three children who consisted of Otis Franklin, Chester Levi and Sidney Harold.
