Son of Samuel Adaway and Louisa Coker Adaway. He had two daughters, Shirley Adaway Gray and Cheryl Adaway Quibodeaux. One son, Lacy Ray Adaway, one sister, Alveena Adaway Walters, and seven grandchildren. He was a WWII veteran. Lacy drowned in Choupique Bayou just off Hwy. 27, in Carlyss, Louisiana.
