Eliza Ann Scott was the third child and oldest daughter of John Wall Scott and his wife Adelia Miller Johnson. When Eliza was 21 years old she married Abraham Anderson, a native of Kentucky, and became the mother of Grace T. Anderson. Eliza farmed along side her husband in Macoupin County. He quit farming by 1920 due to his health and died in 1923 in Jacksonville, Illinois. Eliza continued to live in Macoupin County until her death 32 years later.
