Betty Ruth Walker, 69, of Hardy, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at her home.
She was born in Williamson, W.Va., Jan. 9, 1945, the daughter of the late Clyde and Hazel Hunt Hankins.
She was a former beautician and bookkeeper for her husband's business and was a member of the Blue Springs Freewill Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy Hankins and Billy Hankins.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Ray Walker; two sons, J. J. Walker of Harold and David Walker of Hardy; one brother, Bobby Gene Hankins of Canada; two sisters, Connie Wallen of Prichard, W.Va., and Ruby Runyon of Pinsonfork; and two grandchildren, Mackenzie Walker and Eli Walker, both of Hardy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, in the R.E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Bogar and Junior Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Hankins Family Cemetery, Hardy.
